How to change your Virtual MAC

Your Virtual MAC is used to identify your device to portal providers. You may need to change it if your provider assigns you a new MAC.

Warning: Only change this if your provider specifically asks you to.

Changing the MAC without coordinating with your provider will disconnect you from their service until they register the new MAC.

How to change:

• •Open STBAir → Settings
• •Find 'Virtual MAC' or 'Update MAC' option
• •Enter the new MAC address in format: '00:1A:79:XX:XX:XX'
• •Confirm the change
• •Restart the app
• •Give your provider the new MAC so they can register it

Important notes:

• •Changing the Virtual MAC does NOT affect your STBAir license or Device ID
• •Your license stays active regardless of MAC changes
• •The Virtual MAC is only used for portal authentication
• •If you change it accidentally, you can change it back to the previous value
